ReGen won the 2024 Brownie Award for Best Large Project, presented by the Canadian Urban Institute in partnership with the Canadian Brownfields Network and Actual Media.
The award recognises the transformation of the Welland site, credited to the vision and work of founder Steve Charest, into a base for local jobs, synthetic graphite production, battery anode materials and new carbon solutions.
It puts Welland on the map for circular-economy innovation.
